LOTS OF OIL COMMING OUT OF VENT!!..help..

If the compression is good it would suggest that the rings are ok, Like majerco said the oil flow would be well worth checking out.
Keep us posted with your findings, it sure does sound like a strange one

I've constantly have oil blowing out of mine. sometimes just a little, sometimes, seems like more than it should be. Mine also blows oil past the o ring on the starter.
But it's running perfectly other than this, so I just keep adding oil. I go through about a 1/2 qt per weekend.

I had a similar experience and yes, my ring had broken due to detonation. I had put in a higher compression piston and cometic head gasket. This head gasket also raises compression an extra point so I needed race gas but realized to late. A certain year (04)? is known for broken rings from a supplier defect.

Hello there, i am haveing the exact same trouble, i was going for a ride today and i noticed a lose of power at first, then i noticed when i let of the gas it would idle down really fast compaired to usuall, i thought maybe it was bad fuel or something at first but when i came to the next corner i put the clutch in to let it idle and the oil pressure light came on so i shut it off and checked the oil it was just under full and then started inspecting the motor for anything out of the ordinary and found oil leaking down the side of the frame by the air box, i had pulled the vent tube out of the snorkle long ago because i didn't want the oil going into the airbox, it has always had a bit of blow by but nothing like this. I started it again with the seat off and noticed it was actually spraying oil out of the vent tube so i put the seat back on and brought it home. A couple hours later a freind stoped by and i went to show him what its doing and its not doing it anymore, theres no oil coming out of the vent tube and i put my finger over the vent tube and its not blowing much at all. But still seemed abit down on power after warmed up and once in awhile the oil light would flicker but would not stay on even after up to temperature. It runs perfect sounds perfect starts perfect even cold, no idea what this could be i thought if it was compression or a bad valve it would sound funny or not start good. Not sure if anyone can help but just thought i would share that with you, Its a 2005 ds 650 baja x. Thanks for your time.
