Got my front and rear sandstars on douglas wheels yesterday on got them on today to make sure everything fit correctly. Not leaving for the dunes until the first weekend in May, but wanted to see them on there and make sure no adjustments were needed to fit. Thanks to everyone who reccommended recreation tires, awsome prices from what I have found, plus everything I wanted was in stock and at my door in 2 business days. Purchased on Thursday afternoon and they were at my door Tues. Everything fit fine, don't need to trim the heal guards, only thing the fronts rub on the brackets for the front fenders. Are most of you guys reversing the front wheels and kicking them out more or leaving them and removing the front fenders for the dunes? I figured I would just take them off anyways. Now just cant wait until May to go and play at LS, OK

What wheels did you get for the front end? My new front wheels and Sand Stars made my front end 8 inches wider. So if I did have my front fenders on I don't think there would have been any sort of rubbing. Like Learnem, those fenders came off they day I purchased the bike. On my 22 inch rear sand stars, they didn't rub the heal guards until the first time I bottomed out at the base of a steep dune. Tore one of those ears off instantly.

I got 10x6 douglas .160 4B+2N, If I were to flip them though it would put them our prob 3-4 inches a side. Havent decided if I want it that wide. I still need the fenders, I ride a lot of riverbeds and muddy trails, but they are simple enought to remove I will prob take them off for the dunes anyways.
