Default packing the pipe?

hi,

i am repacking my ron wood pipe, and i really want to pack it hard. i thought that i could put the packing in the water and then i could pack the pipe really hard, even if it needs 2 bags. anybody know if it would damage the packing to put it in water? i think that it will just dry and go in it's place when i'll start the bike..

thanks!

If you wet it and slide it into your pipe dont you think it might rust the inside. i dont realy know.

well i thought about this but when i'll be finished repacking it i'll start the bike and i think it should dry out.... after all it isn't worst when you fall into a deep creek, the packing gets as wet as if i would put it in water....
