I just got my new issue of AMA magazine and on page 22 there is an article about Glamis and how 49,000 acres will be re-opened in October.
In the photo is a guy on a motorcycle and a guy on a DS!
NICE!

I heard about excellent progress, but I didn't think it would be opened by October, that would be great and just in time for Dune Season as well! If it opens we'll just HAVE to go take a tour through the newly opened area!

Now if I could get out there and ride what you duners ride!
There is more to it than BLM just openiing up the land. From what I am reading, 33,329 acre section known as Adaptive Management Area is one area. There are limitations. You have to get a permit. You must complete a course in environmental education. They will only allow 525 vehicles per day and no overnight camping. AND it is only open October 15th through March 31st.
I'm just glad someone could see clearly enough to change the laws.
Now it seems Riverside county is going the other way. Complete ban on OHV's.
Prepare for battle!!
