Default Calling all alky DS's that dune...

Trying to find somone that runs alky that has been to Saint Anthony to find out if I can make it from the BLM campground to the choke cherry end of the dunes and back without running out. And yes we will play on the way and back..... Do I need a larger fuel tank????

that is a good question, I'm taking a couple of extra gallons on my little mule(aka my son ) [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] because I expect to run out . These bikes suck down a huge amount of fuel under boost, so it really depends on how much you get on the throttle. A larger tank would definately be helpful. One thing I did notice this weekend was that the new self learn EFI is definately better on fuel economy than the older system was. Makes a little better power too.
When are you doing a St. A's run?

With no playing you can make it there and back with the stock tank. I have the IMS and make it there playing on several hills on the way and then hit choke5-10 times and still get back to egin lake. (I usually use the reserve on the way back) I would recommend bringing at least a gallon and probably two.

Well thats good to know. So if we hit dead horse bowl,thunder mountain,and such I should'nt have any problems if I run a IMS tank????

Correct. No problem and alot easier on the engine that gas.
