What's done is done. . . . but, do yourself a favor. Keep that equity where it is. . . in the house. Over the last few years some of us have been very fortunate to see some great equity gains in our houses. Banks are more than pleased to give you money because they know you will either pay for it or they will take your house and land! There are no devil's in this. . . we all make our own decisions and the banks aren't the bad guys. I hate to see people re-finance their house every two years so they can buy a car, get a Harley or worse. . . pay off credit card debt (again and again - once is fine but, again and again is a problem.)

I know this might not be the popular stance and I know nothing of your situation so, I'm not judging you at all. Just a general suggestion, if you have equity. . . keep it. . . it's yours and one of these day's when you look to retire, put your kids through college or need money for a medical emergency you will be glad its there.

I'm hearing a lot of "Keyboard Courage" here! "Tell her what's up! Put her in her place!" If only real life were that simple!
Dave Chappelle said it best at the end of Half-Baked... "I love smokin weed, but not as much as I love p----y!!"

I call the shots in my house................and I have my wifes' permission to say so!

I find that if i talk about the big purchases until she is sick hearing about it when i go get them she is just glad she doesnt have to listen to me boring her to death about bikes.
for the small stuff i just buy it a bit at a time and tell her it cost about £50, regardless of the truth.

in much the same way as her shoes were always in a sale and didnt cost that much. LOL

its all a game

not that keen on credit personaly, but my work can be unstable feast or famine.

I use the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in my household. My wife don't know jack about atv's, so when I want a part I order it, have it shipped to where I work, and put it on at night when she's in bed. Don't sweat the small stuff bro, she'll get over it.

I wish I could use the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" method. The problem is we have a home office, and she does all of the book keeping for us and the business. Oh well I get some goodies now and then. If we had a house already then I'd be buying all kinds of stuff.

Maybe I'll try the "bi-polar" excuse sometime. Or at least the "BUY-polar" excuse!

You are cheating on your wife with a quad. lol. My wife is a full time student going for her RN. When she asks about how much something costed me for the quad or bike, I just ask her, "How much do you like going to school and not working?" that shuts her up. But, as with all good things, that will come to an end once she starts making more money than I. Then it will be, "Sweety, can I please buy those new skid plates?"

I feel for you, DONE! Nothing like the silent treatment. Funny thing is, is it's not the end of the world or anything like that. But they sure make it out to be.
You think she's mad now? Wait until you invite one of your bud's and not her, to go riding!!
Good luck you lucky dog. Wait... I don't feel so bad for you! I just remembered you got that quad for only $900 AAAHGGGG that is un- frigging believable!! I say... spend away!
