Default Wheelie on a DS

I just took my DS out for the first time on Memorial Day weekend. I noticed that it was a little bit of a challenge to get the front wheels up off of the ground. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to get to the "sweet spot" on the DS???? Anything will help because I love to ride wheelies......thnx

what are you running for tire pressure? I dropped down from a 16 tooth front to a 15 and it comes up alot easier, front sprocket is about 14 dollars, you could go down to a 14 tooth also

Looks like you have a really nice quad. I have a 2000 and love it. i am looking to buy the team alba graphics to install on mine. MIne is all yellow so thw flames should look good. any way have fun. my quad wheelies pretty easy. Try tightening the rear shock up and set closer to the center of the seat. CHICKNHAWK

The ds isnt hard to wheelie for me...even my friend who is smaller than me says it wheelies easy its prob just how i got my shocks set up...the balance point that i found for the ds is not to high but not to low either and when it gets into the balance point i find it stays there very easily.... this quad seems allot easier to wheelie for long distances over my friends 400ex even though his is easier to get up.

My 01 is pretty hard to get up also, though it can be done(see my pics) I tell ya what though I love that heavy front end when hill climbing.

I think I had the problem of too much wheel speed because the tires just wouldn't hook up in the back. I just ordered 22" Kenda Bear Claws for the back and I dropped to a 15 tooth sprocket up front. The shock in the back is as soft as it will go. I only weigh 170 pounds so I figured I would soften up the suspension all the way around. If any of this sounds like I am doing to wrong thing......please let me know......
