New Bombardier Sport Quad
#1
I know by now everyone has seen Bombardier advertising its need for test riders. Well, they didn't really need to do that, obviously. I believe Bombardier is just further wetting the appetites of sport quad riders to let them know that they are working on yet another sport machine.
So when you hear motocross and ATVs in the same sentence, what machine automatically pops into your brain? That's right, the 250R. I hope that is what they are working on-- a new 250 two-stroke. Do you feel lucky, punks? Well, do ya?!?

Man if its a twin 380 2-stroker, it'll make the Banshee obsolete real quick. Rotax builds the best snowmobile engines, so I can see the Japanese makers will be pretty worried now. Bombardier can easily compete with them when it comes to $$$$$.

Just look at the november dirtwheels and the Alba article on banshees on the Dyno, did you see the HP for the 680cc ROTAX engine blocked Banshees.
OOPS! I guess thats still a Banshee though huh? Atleast they are on their heels designing new quads. Be Happy

I don't think Bombardier is planning on sitting on the DS 650 as its only offering in the sport market. They have been very aggressive in bringing out new offerings in the Traxter line and i'm sure they are feeling the need for something a little physically smaller than the DS if they want to have a greater involvement in the motocross and trail riding segment. That 380 is very interesting! I have received feedback from the factory and I'm currently pursuing one of the full time test rider positions. Hopefully the 380 will be part of that program if I make the final cut. I'll let y'all know if I'm headed for Florida any time soon. -Keith

I responded to their request and wanted more information. They will pay the princely sum of 8.50 per hour with no benefits and you have to relocate yourself. No allowance for meals or lodging. If you are willing to work for that you need to give me a call. I can give you much more than that and you can ride whatever you want.
Really, the 380 sounds cool, but I have heard a lot of stuff here and in the mags that turned out to be a huge letdown. I am not holding my breath any longer, but for everybody who is hoping, I hope it is not just a rumor, also.
