Slightly bent tierod... warranty part, easy to change, or leave it?
#1
I was washing my bike last night and noticed my brake side tierod is ever so slightly bent. Would this be covered under warranty? If not, are they easy to switch out and can I ride on it until I get around to it? I wish I could ride this thing without having it at the dealership every week (literally)!

what do you mean by brake side? there is a brake on both sides.
warranty won't cover it, these tie rods on the DS are the strongest I've seen from a factory, I've hooked many a tree with my front tires and it took a bad hit hard enough to throw me over the bars to take out one of my tierods, they don't bend for nothing.
yes they are easy to switch, one nut on the bottom of each tie rod end. but if it is only "slightly bent", like you have to look really hard to notice it, then your toe is only slightly off as a result, and can be easily adjusted to correct the toe setting without bothering with a replacement. I do not know what the toe spec is on the new models, but the older DS models were set between 1/8" toe-out and neutral, measured with rider on the seat.
