Eric,
On my EX with 12:1, I was thinking about running 110 octane, stock CDI with a 15 shot and one step cooler on the plug. The reason why Im concerned is because Im running webs 450/451 cam for torque. I realize the pressure with that cam will be pretty high, so I was hoping to keep it in check with the 15 shot and the 110 octane. Do you see any obvious concerns before I install it? Also I am 440 bore with a 4 mil stroker.
Thanks!

OH yes I understand you point, coming from a dealers standpoint. But in a stock motor at 5000' we ran completely stock motors, with one twenty shot the other twenty five on 91 octane with ZERO issues. But now bump that compression up alittle, add some timing, now we might need something that will help. Or drop to sea level with that same stock motor and that alone might be enough need for colder plugs and more octane. 110vp is good fuel. Run a colder plug, what comp you at Mark? Sorry thinking out loud but if its high you might want even more octane, but doubtful, a 15 isnt that much.

PS- those cams are considerably more duration than stock- not exactly what I would call torque cams, but they should respond well to nitrous

Randall,
Thanks man. Ya, I had the 463/9i cam in there, so the other end of the aftermarket would be pretty torquey for me. Sorry I didnt clarify that.
Actually I had it out today - just got back. 1 step cooler plug, 12:1, VP C12 (110 Octane), stock CDI, & 15 shot. I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Going to a 20 shot this week. The 460 stoker with that cam is incredible - I've never been more happy with the EX as a general purpose duner.

Yes definately what 222 said on the plugs especially with the higher hp shot.
