Default 330 Outlander ???

2 2004 outlanders and they are having the same trbl at the recall but my vin #s don't match up with recall...did you guys have to take the 4 wheelers to the dealers? Whats the best way to get these fix. Do not want to buy new voltage regulators just to have them blow again, they keep blowing my charging fuse. Anyone that has any info please respond

If you run, with the lights on, it dosn't go in fail mod, thinking the lights use up the extra voltage. The regulater still gets hot, thinking, it will just prolong the regulater to fail. Talked to my dealer, my 2 330's have the regulaters in the new spot. Told my dealer that Bomberdear still has a voltage regular problem, they plan to call, the factory and talk to them about it. Call your dealer, and complain, tell them, there are others that are having the same problem.
Stay in touch, we need to stick together on this.

So, your's is in the front by the radiator, mine is in the back, on thje battery box, old spot is, behine the pannel, by your right knee, seems that there are several different location's, the regulater can be found, all having the same results, " FAILING "
Does the word FAIL appear on your speedo? Which Outlander do you have 330 or 400, 2 or 4wd?
Just got a call from my dealer, and there was a up dated regular, for the ones that were moved to the back, when that moved one failed, he can get a good will warranty, for the Quads that are out of warranty. Sounds like your's are in the old spot. Call your dealer and tell him.
Was looking on the map looking for Eastpointe was.

(330 4wd) It gets very hot by the right knee thats the side were my plastic melted. On the green one i own that went last year, it said fail then it was ok then it started blowing my charging fuse. I thought it was a short in the wiring but spoke with my uncle and he said thats a common problem with 4 wheelers peroid. So a month ago my red one started to say fail on it but it still runs but it needs to be running for about 15 mins, then the fail warning wont come back on its not blowing fuses yet. Then yesterday my brother was on the internet and he found this site and told me about it. now the trbl is that my 4 wheelers are upnorth (gladwin) and they want to see them. eastpointe is just north of detroit and east of warren

Thats pretty cool if that starts passing then soon it will be like that everywhere. No 4 wheeler will go as fast and as quick as snowmobiles

Just to be on the safe side I always make sure my headlights are on, this is supposed to help keep the v/r from overheating. It's also kind of a nice safety feature to ride with lights on, some of the trails we are on are very, very dusty, helps to look behind and make sure your partner is still behind you.
