I have the Garmin GPS 60C also and LOVE IT. Had a Etrex Venture before and this one is so much easier to see in any light.
I have the handlebar mount and have maps of everyplace I ride and it just makes it real cool.
Got mine from GPSCity also.

I bought a Garmin 76cs. I haven't mounted it on the quad yet. I would still be driving around Seattle clover loops lost if I did not have that thing. The city-town software rocks!!!

The eTrex is one of your best bets for quad or off road type of use, other units may get beat to death. I wouldn't mount a $500 GPS to my DS, ever. I'd advise buying a GPS for car navigation and a GPS for DS navigation. Who wants to put a gps in their car only to watch sand fall out every time you go over a bump, or the fact it just looks more beat to hell (My Garmin GPS12 looks like hell but still works great - I bought it in January of 1998) after it has been mounted to a DS and rode around the desert for a while as sand and grit rub odd shapes into all surfaces that contact something else.
