I was asked in my club forum to be chairman of the quad division. I had to make a public reply as to why I could not accept. I simply cannot afford the fuel costs it will take to make all 19 events.
Artcic Cat stepped up and is giving me and my equipment a ride to and from all 19 events! They want to set up a display at each event. How could I turn it down? I will save just under $2,000 this way. So I will put it back into the club. Like make signs for the pits? I am pumped!
Now if only my quad was a little smaller...

Maybe this will lead to a total sponsor, and give you quads to race. If Suzuki comes out with their 450, who knows maybe Artic Cat will share their design. Then BAM you have a smaller quad. The next "Kory Ellis" rider for Artic Cat may be MUDNURI. HELL YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are funny. Thanks for the props, but it is just a ride. I mean, not JUST a ride beacause that is SO much in todays cost of fuel. But that is all it is. Heck I don't even know if they wold have something for me to race on. I always thought of them as a utility.
I will tell you this, there is only one other dummy out there riding a DS. He runs the begginer class and has won two or three times.(we call that sandbagging) I love my DS but it is NOT made for what I use it for and I am going to get hurt (again) if I continue. Remember, my desire to win far exceeds my abilities to ride! I do NOT run the begginer class.
I have almost $12,000 into this quad and I am getting tired of waiting for BRP to release something. Their secrecy may just bite them in the butt.I could have easily put that money into a smaller machine and give the top riders a run for the money. I love my DS, though. I will probably never sell it and just start with something new.
John, thanks for loaning me the modded endcap. It didn't make it yet but I know it is on the way. I was even thinking to going back to stock cap with stock jetting and then change the gearing to get the low end back. It would be nice to kick some **** with a quiet ride!

I'd sponsor you too, but if you think I'm giving money so that you can do what I wish I was doing you're out of your D@%m mind! LOL. I see you got that crazy expensive steering stabilizer. I am picking my DS MON. I was thinking of racing the FTR also. What do you not like about the DS for riding in this series? Is it just to big to handle on fast trails? Or is it the suspension? What is everyone else running in the races?
