I got my Stage III DS from my bud. However the exhaust looks like a rust bucket. Has anyone re-ceramic coated thier exhaust? Would Ron Wood do it or is there someone reputable to send it to to have it done and a good turn around time.

Check with your local powder coater to see if they do ceramic coatings. My local powder coater does my ceramic pipes.

Ron Wood will do it. I've never had them do it but, Elliot said they would do it and re-pack you muffler for $100. Probably not a quick turn-a-round.

Hi-lifter, the 4x4 place has ceramic coating services, had a head-pipe done there couple years ago, fast turn-around time, $100 or so.

BigWaynester had sent his old RWR back to RWR for re-ceramic, it came back like brand new. if they will do it and repack for $100 as DuneMe suggests, that is a good deal.

An alternantive great place with quality coating second to none and awesome service with fast turnaround is JetHot, they coated my entire system inside and out for $85.

I just emailed jet-hot for a price quote, and they said 75 for just the header (I have heard as Chris experienced) it being done for much cheaper (45 or so for header, 85-100 for full system). I am thinking about having my header done, and after they emailed me back they priority mailed me a video and some documentation on it. I know a lot of people are happy with it, so if you dont need packing, I would suggest jet-hot.

myself and 3 of my friends all used JetHot and every one of us got our pipe back within 2 weeks of sending it. two of us got full systems done for $85, the other two got just headers done for $55. but now that I think about it, the two of us that I say got full systems done was headers and tailpipe minus the muffler because we have aluminum mufflers (we drilled the rivets out left mufflers at home), so a full RWR would be more than $85.

oh, and shipping fee back from them is another $20, regardless of what you pack it in to send it to them, they return it to you in a hardcore molded foam packing and nice box. so yeah headers $75 and systems minus mufflers $105 I guess...I forgot about the shipping.

MrHP I believe has a new exhaust out. If I like what I see and the gains are impressive.. I'll let the Ron Wood go. My buddy who owned the DS before me cut the exhaust shorter for wheelies incase he went over (and he did). It's monstrously loud now. Sounds like a 650 but I hate riding it in my yard cause I'm sure I'm bothering the neighbors.
