i have 2001 bombardier ds650 its got less than 25 hours on it. i went to start it today left it idling for about 10minutes and the red light comes on but the fan does not turn on so i turned on the fan manually with a paper clip and it runs like a new fan i also checked the fuse under the seat its good i dont now what else to do.

Pull your fan sensor and check it with an ohm meter. You need infinite,i believe.
Good luck.

I hate to tell you this, but your fan is no good. I know I went through 5 fans on my 2001 DS. Bombardier knows about the problem. They gave me the 5 fans because they knew it was a design flaw. To correct the problem the new DS went to rubber mounts on the fan.

In order to correct your problem you need to use rubber mounts. After I made rubber mounts for my DS I had no fan troubles.

Maybe I could draw you picture how I did it and e-mail it to you if you want.

The original fans were not waterproof.
Try spraying some WD into the rotor while hand spinning.
Let dry for an hour and then retest.

This is because the viberation has jared the brushes in the motor. You said it will run if you gave it a push. That means all the sensors are working, sending electricity to it.
