Try the " whats in my garage thread" all kinds of good stuff there. But if you buy from Mod quad I belive they give you the jet for your carb too.

The jetting he recommends is from some of my old specs of about 3 yrs ago. It's safe to say I was pretty far off with the main jet recommendation since we have done some more closely controlled dyno testing on the stock carb.

SO if the 175 is way off what are you recommending?

I run a 170 at 4000ft elevation and it runs really good.

Every pipe requires a little different fuel tune-up. The 175 main will run pretty good under most conditions but it definately does not make the most power unless your running a drag pipe.

We have tested the Billet End Cap on a hot sticky day in Ky and found best results with a 145-150 main But you have to be careful at 145 because the needle setting starts getting critical.

HMF in MI try a 150-155 until it gets really cold.

Wow! So your recommending going 2-4 sizes smaller than stock (165) even through we're now flowing more air. That seems to go against all logic unless the DS is jetted extremely rich from the factory?? We have pretty low humidity out west.
