DS Steering Shaft Removal??
I rolled my DS back in Feb, bent the steering shaft right near the top where it goes into the frame. My buddy and I managed to bend it enough to ride and I can't really notice much of a difference, but when I look at it it is just off a bit and it annoys the crap out of me. I want to remove the shaft and make it straight. Any advice? I read somewhere the nuts at the base of the shaft are a bear to get off or something like that?
If anyone has removed one and if you could give me some pointers I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Mike

I did the exact same bend as you did. The above post was right about things to remove. I also found it easier to take shaft down through the frame. This means removing the a-arm skid plate. It is tight and the cables up top will give you some grief. Plan some time.

I replace mine with the Roll design one. You have to custom order a head and stem and have it welded together.
I rolled mine once since the roll design stem was installed and it didn't bend. I think it has to do with the stem being stronger and it has rubber mounted bars which have some give to them. The stem only cost me $100 from roll design.

DS Steering Shaft Removal??
Here is an earlier post of how I have done it.

I have done mine twice and I think both times I blocked up the front tires and flattened the A arms and angled it out the bottom. The top piece goes through the bottom easier than the bottom piece does through the top.
