i have a 400 max and when 800 arrives in uk hope to get 800.is the cvt as noisey at high speed ,like it is on the 400s its not just mine ,i know 4 other owners and they all say its loud after 25mph and people hear you coming from miles around, thanks

 

are you refering to the whinning noise they make? If so I have not heard any 800s with a lot of miles to tell you an honest answer to the question.

 

yes thats the noise it has always been loud from new and with 7500miles it has not changed much

 

Hope this will help with your Question i have had my 800 for almost 2 months know i was lucky enough to get one early he he anyways i really didnt know of a wine from the outie 400 but my dad has a 400 xt 2up 2006 model i tryed his he tryed mine man he's does have thatr whine after 20 mph and mine no whine at all dealer told me it's becouse of the eng. + tranny combined on the 800 where the 400 is seperate

 

thanks for that. the 800 is not here in the uk yet as far as i know so no prices released yet . also they will have to sort out the road reg side of it .because they have to be restricted to 20hp for road use.its good to know the cvt set up is different
