Actually much better off getting a bunch of small ones. Means things are moving like they should be. It's when those plates get hung up and don't move that they eventually break loose and you get the big ones.

yeah, my school had to evacuate, and meet in a pree planned spot. there were 2 or three i felt yesterday, and 1 i have felt this morning.

Actually, the small ones with increased activity show that things are moving more..... meaning bigger earthquakes could be possible. It also is a sign of volcanic activity, but California is not known to have many volcanoes...
