Default Season opener in Florida

WOW!
Once again, I am suffering with Baboon ****! I am in pain where sitting is a challenge. It was worth it. The DS failed me bad, though. Or maybe just the oppisite?
Florida Trial Riders had it's opening hare scramble race yesterday in Holopaw, FL That is is in the middle of nowhere FL. We are 2,500 members strong and growing.
This course can only be described as "brutal." If you don't know what a Palmetto is, google it so you can see. They are these palms that grow close to the ground. The trunk kind of lays on the ground while the limbs and fronds stick up. Riding over them is torture as they are clustered together. I am able to give good reviews of everything on my machine now.
Fist, I placed 7th out of 10. I started strong and once again had carb trouble after about 300-500 yards. I finally solved this problem with filters on the carb vent tubes. In the race to the first turn and shortly yhere after, there is an amazing cloud of dust you can only see the rider in fron tof you (if he goes off a cliff, bye bye, you are too!) I am WO and sucking in all that crap and anyway wound up pulled over pulling the choke wide open and doing the same with the throttle until whatever buger was in the carb was cleaned out. Too late, now I am in last place. Not to worry, I have these awesome shocks and wicked steering stabilizer now. Right? Yes, right! It was beautiful. During the practice I was able to make some adjustments to my stabilizer. That thing was worth the money and then some. I cannot express how much this item saved me from trouble and fatigue.
My shocks got a work out they will have nightmares about from now on. My tires are the bomb, too. The importance of direction is crucial in most types of racing. Certain tires work differently. These Razr2's up front are something. Bouncing around where the front tire is almost hardly touching. When they do touch you go where you steer.
Anyway, I catch up and pass half the pack (the other half is GONE!) and the red light comes on. I had this happen during practice and switched to Engine Ice. No luck. I was screwed. I had to quit charging and begin putting hoping the light would at least go off. Nope.
Why do you suppose I am having this overheating issue now? I am going to have to get some in-line coolers for the radiator and the oil lines. I am in need of the radiator shrouds, too, I guess. Other than that, I was thinking to remove it for inspection.
I met Donnie Stefanie and his lovely girlfriend. I hope you had a good time. I told you it would be like nothing you have ever done before!
