Default Overheating issue

I am suddenly plagued with overheating problems.
Since this site has a search window, it acts as a troubleshooting guide by real users with real solutions!
I thought maybe my water pump or thermostat took a crap, but there is circulation.
I read where the mud was baked on/in to the radiatior even after my hosing it down after muddy rides. After time the build-up is detrimental to a podium finish!
My question is, how do you recommend cleaning it? With what? CLR?
I am sure the obvious thing would to remove it first.

Default Overheating issue

this past summer i have gotten strictly into hillclimbs in the woods. very hot summer up here and i never get past third gear when riding. i run a inline cooler and radiator shrouds. the shrouds were only 75 bucks shipped to my door from ct racing. in fact i am gonna have them powdercoated soon. anyway i stay pretty cool with that set up. regardless of what you heard i think engin ice is worth it. i also have a friend with a ds that wrapped his header in that fiberglass heat wrap. they actually make it in two sizes. for cars and for atv's,sleds, etc. the wrap helps keep in all that heat and force it out the muffler as well as keep that heat away from your legs and your radiator. the exhuast is more efficient and the motor supossedly runs cooler. try some of this stuff. it is a cheap alternative to a new radiator. of course make sure you are not running lean in jetting either. that will cause alot of unwanted heat. good luck.

Thanks Saint,
My wallet is awfully sqeaky these days so I will start saving for the shrouds and wrap. I will also ask a friend to make the cooler.
I can't complain or put any blame on the machine. I put it through hell.
