i got a flat today.. gives me an excuse to get some new tires....

i am going with razor2's i guess...

should i go with 20's or 22's ...what does this do to my performance...

i run an end cap, filter, jetting and hi performance reg/rec(?)...ride 80% trails

i love where i am at now and dont want to lose anything

I ride mostly trails and love the 22's on mine. All you have to do is change the front sprocket to a 15 tooth to make up the difference for the larger rear tires.

go with 22" more ground clearance and make that thing lug a little. maybe put a 15t on. get a good set of 22 also, when i went to them they would shake bad! in 5th. the stk ones would not.

Exactly, more ground clearance. That's key for trail riding. My 22s are on their way. Mucky posted a link in another thread to a chart that will tell you differances in speed for each gear on a z. Don't know what you ride but, this should help if you can find it. Maybe he'll chime in here. You can enter the tire size and keep changing the sprocket sizes until you get what you want. A little slower speed will give you some more grunt.

I've notice that i've lost a lot of bottom end when i changed from 20's to 22's. But now i have a higher top end. My gearing is still stock. You mite wanna gear down for the trails.

You will need to change it to a DS 650 though.....

what about stability, and what about the front tires.. they put 23's on front and and 20's on the back for a reason..

if i change to a 15t in front do i have to take links out of the chain or anything like that?

do the 22's give more low end or top speed?

i looked at that link and changed to a ds..

22 tires and 15t front is close to stock in speed but what about performance as far as cornering, wheelies and braking

and what about lowend..i dont care about speed just throttle response for the trail..quick blasts

i feel like i am sitting up high already is it to tall

oh ya last question....what ply 4 or 6

The 22s will give you more topend, but they hook up better. No links need to be taken out of the chain for any of this. You can do new fromts, but don't have to
