RPM???
#2
Hey Topper, Good morning.
I don't quite know if I am reading your question right ?
But
I have my Dyno results here from my basically stock DS and are you asking what is the peak RPM where she pulls hard at ?
or
Where it starts to climb
I think its early and I can't read just yet ?
Where's my coffee ? Ahhhhh
OK
My bike is stock internally (Cam, piston, & compression) but she really starts hitting from about 4000rpm at (30 horse) till 7500rpm and peaks out at its max of 51 horse.
Is that what your looking for ?

Thanks for everyone's responce. I was looking for the rev limiter RPM. Sorry I wasn't to clear. It was early for me too. If they rev to 7900 RPM, why would a guy want it to rev higher? Wouldn't that be hard on the motor? Float the valves?

They can handle 8 something if i remember right....when they get super high revs guys go to stiffer valve springs.

Ahhhh, got ya Topper.
I have the 04BajaX with the stock bumped up rev-limiter and I still opted to put the (BigGun/Procomm) CDI on it because the bike just felt like it had more power to give at the upper RPM range. Hitting that rev-limiter at 7500 sucked when you haven't even topped it out yet ! Now my Dyno run shows the the power starts to fade after 7500 and at 8000 diveing pretty steep but its still there !!!. I don't think there's much more power to be had at the upper end of the power band on a stock bike. My self I don't feel the 300.00 CDI's give you all that much more performance compaired to the 100.00 dollar units but I hear the Mallory CDI's are pretty impressive.
I think the CDI's help a little bit on advancing your spark through out the entire RPM range but keep your stock one with you as I had my aftermarket CDI fail on me during the first few runs. I got it replaced and She is solid as Oak now... knock on wood.
