Default Going broke.....

Okay I just got my DS two weeks ago, I have a set of Sand Star tires on wheels coming (I promised the Wife I would buy anything for it in awhile), I also bought a custom flag and a flag holder and a 15 tooth sprocket. Well she found out and cut me off for now. We're heading to Florence in a couple of weeks, I was going to buy a new pipe but it doesn't look like that is going to happen Now I'm looking at one of those Power tips that are on Ebay for $65.00 My question is; How will I know how to jet before I head to the dunes? Does anyone have some specs on what the jetting should be on a 100% stock 05' DS650X? Any help will be GREAT!!

You might want to consider something like the ODP power tip. It is spark arrested and tunable and the db's are lower than an open power tip. Try this http://on-dunes.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=484 They also show what jetting to use. Good luck

Stock jetting is 165 main needle on the 3rd.
When i got my hmf i was told to go with a 175 main and needle on the 4th.Way to rich.
I am now at 160 main and needle on the 3rd.I still have color on the plugs but it runs
great.

I have my parts shipped to my brother's house where I keep my quad. Just install them when I go over there, she has no clue.

I live at about 800 ft.......My bike is stock with an HMF, Jetting is 170 main, clip in the 5th position on the needle, stock pilot.
That should get you in the ballpark, you may have to fine tune from there.
