Well unless your lucky enough to get a friend or relative from out west to pick it up and bring it to you next time they visit you are going to have to have it shipped... It is going to have to be palletized so you can compare what the person you are buying it from will charge or what a company in that area will charge to put it on a pallet and get it ready to ship. Once you decided this realize that it will have to be picked up from a shipping terminal and delivered to a shipping terminal. And by terminal I mean a place of business that has a loading dock. There are places that act like ups and will ship pallets. You need to find one of these places that the seller can drop it off at and then either have the company that you have chosen deliver it to the closest terminal that they own or have it delivered to a company were you work or a friend works that has a loading dock. Having it delivered to the second choice is cheaper since the shipping company won’t charge you with an unloading and/or storage fee. I’d say take a road trip and go pick it up yourself but gas is just way too much these days.

There are companies that are cheaper than forward air, your best bet is to go to a library and get a phone book from the county, state the seller lives in since a lot of shipping companies are not listed on the net. Spending a half hour making some calls can and will save you some $.

Anyway good luck

Hopefully some of these will help you out. I checked into quite a few of them when I was going to buy a DS from the East coast. Each has their own requirements as far as pallets, crates, draing liquids, batteries, etc...
Follow up with your experience please, so we can see how you were serviced.
Appreciate it, and good luck.

I had one shipped through yellow frieght one time. they were reasonable on price. If you can pick it up at a yellow frieght terminal, it will be a lot cheaper than having it delivered to your door.
