Default got her going!

Well after a week of perplexing electrical issues I finally have the gixxer running- wow what smooth revs and freking loud- gotta get the full exhaust on for sure. I'm using all DS stock controls, works great once ya figure out the tricks. I shoud be making a dune run next Sat ( weather permitting)
to see what I'll break first I'll snap some pics once I get her on the dunes. The powder coating will come after I'm completely happy with all fab work. Should be a rush!

Busmechanic, sorry won't be going to ST. A's this next one, Little Sahara ut. is half the distance for me and has a better comp hill and because I haven't tested it yet I'd rather break down closer to home I love St. A's and will be heading up there once more before the season ends.

I can understand that. I went through the same process with my little buggy project. I am going to be working on a project similar to yours this winter. I picked up a frame a couple months ago. now looking for a doner for the engine. I wanted to see your project for Ideas. post a pic if you can. good luck

Major you mentioned ALL DS controls. Does it use the thumb throttle?

What happened to your old turbo project? Do you have any parts you don't need?

Entomber- yes stock thumb throttle, works great! it has the RWR cable.
Scooby- I sold the motor and complete Turbo system to a forum member. I do have a brand new GT15 in the garage that needs a home. I also have a wide variety of silicone hose connectors ( 1.5"-2.5" new) that won't be needed. I have a lot of mandrel bent pipe in an assortment of diameters enough to do one or 2 complete turbo systems. I have a set of headers with an O2 bung that is fabbed for an under seat turbo location. Come to think of it I have enough parts to do a tubo system less the FI
