I had the opportunity to sit on the 06 Raptor 700R a couple of Saturday's ago. I was impressed with the new model vs. the old. The new machine actually fit a guy my size (6'2", 285). It felt comfortable in the showroom. I'd like to take one out on a test ride to see how it stacks up against the DS. Two friends in my riding group are waiting for the 07 model year, then they're going to bite. They don't have/ride DS'. Bomb product engineering better put the innovation cap on soon. They need to get some ideas rolling for the DS650+ future models and 400/500cc models. If they don't and they'll soon be left in the competitions dust. You can't beat the aftermarket products (& price) available for Yamaha machines.

I'm not getting rid of my DS anytime soon, just want to see BPR stay on top.

I hear you on that Oz,

I am curious as to what they are going to do ?

I mean over the last 5 years they tweak and adjust suspension but other than the 04 model they haven't touched the drive trane at all ! what gives there ???

I would just like to see a lighter by (say 80lbs !) a true 700cc + stock bore DS with some options for plastics, EFI and reverse every thing else I am happy with now with the mods I have... life is good.

Maybe some lights off the bars so you can see at night where your stearing ? that would be nice to

I sold my 730 to get a 700r and do not regret it at all.

One bad thing about owning a Yamaha is filtering through all the STUPID Pre Teen Questions in the Yamaha forum. Will my Blaster win a race against my dads Corvett? Can you jump a Banshee? If I pop all my zits on my face will I even have a face left??? Oops, made that one up So thank you everyone here in the Bomb forum for having half a brain. Man I feel better. Women , get me another beer.
