Is this normal, need to know quick!

I am leaving for Little Sahara from Ohio on Saturday and tonight I was outside putting on some new grips. I noticed there is some sorta slop in my bars, if I wiggle them back and forth they maybe move 1/8" or so with out the tires or tie-rods moving. If I do it kinda fast there is sorta of a popping sound like it is moving back and forth in the slop and hitting on each side. I checked my 400ex and my trailblazer and neither of them do it. Normal? Any ideas?
Thanks a million,

In answer to your question.... NO. My bars don't have a bit of slack in them. I've had my sled for almost three years now and I ride some pretty hard desert stuff along with dunes. No wiggle at all.
Good luck

I don't see what could cause this if it is not transferring the motion down to the tie rods. My handlebar clamp is tight, so it transfers the movement to the stem, the stem moves, it is welded to the inner tie rod bracket so it should move. Is there anything from the bars to the that bracket that could be loose causing this, I can't think of anything.

Mine did that.It was the nuts on the bottom of steering stem bearing.Locktite them and torque to 89

The two smaller ones on each side looking from the bottom?
I just went out there and had my gf wiggle the bars. All the bolts "seem" tight, even those two. If I grab the bottom of the stem, right where the steering stop is welded on, I can get a ever so slight movement when I jerk left to right. I take it this is not normal, is it the bearing? The quad has about 60 hours on it and I just bought it in April.
