Default With Age Comes The Cage....

Small sandrails are the way to go.

My wife drives a Desert Dog Offroad built Coyote, which has 18" of travel and uses a 4-stroke Yamaha snowmobile motor for power, no gears and fun to drive. The motor is 160 hp stock and hers is turbo charged. She gets 225 HP with 7 lbs of boost and we use AvGas, much more consistent fuel. The car weighs only 1000 lbs and is 10' long, 92" wb. If I flip a switch, it goes to 265 HP with 11 lbs of boost. The car handles great in the dunes, keeps up and corners with the fastest quad rides, better than her worked on Pilot!

My wife's car has reverse!

No problem to back up, just move the gear shift lever from forward to reverse. She puts it in the trailer every night, so its warm and safe, and she backs it out every morning.

had the cops out to my house last night seems i was driving my rail around in the street and was having to much fun looking to make it street legal so between dune trips we can rip around (legal) mine has the 2.3 ford turbo t-bird motor with a bus tranny, it sounds like i will have to take out the tranny and have it reworked befor next dune trip. i will have to contact you'r tranny guy in az. holding myself back from tearing into the motor and turning the boost way up!!! i have a problem leaving stuff thats works alone:

hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm OK!!!!!!! Cant speek for all but here in Or. dunes ya would need a winch on the front to get a busa rail out of a few of the tree shots and holes with water in the bottom not very good on the back trying to dig one out or turn it around while against a tree in a BIG hole LOL been there and done that!!!!!!!

going out to my friends farm sunday and i'll get a chance to run it around for the day and get a better feel for the buggy befor i tear it apart. the first thing is to titen up the front end, it looks like the bushings inside the spindle are loose making the front tires sloppy, at first i thought the wheel bearing were shot but there tite. the cable controls for the clutch and throttle suck big time. oh this is funny when my friend looked at it the first thing he noticed was that the front tires were "TRACTOR TIRES" super hard rubber made to hold #1500lbs each!!! what the he!! no wonder the front end seemed rough

the parts manager just dropped the info on the ecotech supercharged motor on my desk $3500 i hate myself.
i'm going to drive the SS cobalt with that motor today and see how it pulls.
