Outlander 800 35/35w to 55/60w headlight bulb swap
I just swapped my 35/35w stock bulbs with 55/60w on my 2006 Outlander 800 Max. We have a 400 watt magneto so battery charge is not an issue.
This is a great upgrade and takes about 30 minutes to do both.
Try doing one light then aim them at a white wall. You'll know right away how nice these bulbs are.
My lights are now twice as bright and nice and white. Not yellow anymore.
They have the exact same beam pattern and focus. No realignment was necessary.
The bulbs are Sylvania Silverstar 9003 ST/2 you can buy them at any auto parts store.
You'll need to bend in two very tiny little metal pins flush on the bulbs base. It takes 10 seconds to make them fit.
Silver stars are actually under rated in wattage while still being dot legal.
Here are the real specs:
9003 Sylvania Silverstars 910/1500 Lumens
65/72watts 4000K

I ran them for 2 hours last night in the desert and they ran cool.
Then again it was 50 degrees out.
I would think running them in the 120 degree desert and completely covered with mud would be the real test.
