Ron Wood and C.R. Axtell, cam grind
Most of you are probably aware of the RWR a1/a2 cams, a.k.a. the Axtell grind. I run these cams in my bike.
Here is a little interesting read on Axtell from the motorcycle hall of fame website, I thought it was cool enough to post.

You have to have alot of respect for men like that. I'll bet if you were tuning on an old air cooled 2 valve motor today, you'd be hard pressed to find any better cams for it. He was doing the kind of research back then that most engine builders won't even do today- that got him into the Hall of Fame- that's something to dream about. Getting 80 hp out of a twin was impressive back then, and still is one of the largest power gains they've had. Wonder if he wants to come out of retirement at 80 years old and give us young punks some help on our new motors?

Whatever you guys post, just be sure and maintain the respect that this post was meant to hold for C.R.
Don't go reading between people's lines and going off on tangents about who, what, when, or how, no matter how eloquently put, just relax and enjoy. That's all it was posted for.
