Heres a tidbit for you maybe not as popular of an opion as most have. But here gose i have 2 05 ds's both built the same identical bikes. But one blew its rev box due to mechanial stupidity so i put the stock back on just before i headed to gordon wells for t-day. Once at freeway hill i found both bike were prestty much even. I raced a stage three and a 483 and one bike did as good as the other i came away very surprised not to mention the fact that the 2 bikes kept up with no problem OH DID I MENTION THERE STOCK DS"S ON PUMP GAS REG THAT IS

PS Ive never tried the alba but at this time i am not impressed with rev boxes get a carb or pipe something that will realy do some good

azsand makes a good point and it is a much safer way to go..

you could port your intake

if you feel that it is the next step and you need or have to have a cdi...

if this were the family fued game show, it would go like this

survey said....ding-ding-ding

vortex

we told you this before and now again...you get what you pay for...i dont know anyone running alba, and i think it removes the limit totally...

oh ya did i say vortex

The Vortex is the best one out there. I had one on my DS, and am getting one for my EX. Very good power curves, good fit, and very durable. No, they dont make a huge difference on the HP. But the power is more flexible. Yes, there is always another part that produces more HP for the money. But, most people consider carb, intake, filter, rev box, & exhaust at about the same time. Whatever you do first is up to you.

We put the Alba on Bomberboys '03, cost 400 in repairs to the sprag and starter due to kick back like the pro-coms. But it does have a rev limiter unlike the woods box.
