I am currently running the Top Gun. It is a bit loud when you are standing next to it but it is way quiet when it gets about 30 feet away. The way the end disperses the sound is pretty amazing. I had a cop ride right past me at Winchester Bay last weekend. He just waved and kept going. Winchester is a 96 dcb riding area and the cops look for reasons to sound check you. The power increase was night and day over my Yosh RS-3.

I just sold my '00 DS. I was running an LTE dual system on it. It has an earth shaking presence whenever it gets within a 50' radius of you. Bar none the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard. I didn't like having to cut the gussets out of the mid crossmember to install it and it wreaks havoc on riding pants with the exposed pipes on both sides, especially if you do alot of aggressive sidehilling where you have to really hang off the bike. At that point you are just trying to keep it topside up, you don't care about the "State of the Pants". The LTE was very mellow, almost a low rumble. It didn't ever attract police interest. They went after the guys whose exhausts crackled. LTE has great torque bottom and mid. I think even better than the Yosh. It didn't add much to top end as I recall.

I run the Big Gun Evo full exhaust. It comes with the quiet core insert. It is pretty quiet with the insert in . Very loud with it out. I think it is a great all around pipe (power wise). But there are alot more people with a lot more experience than me. JMO

 

HMF. period. best fit and finish and all aroung pipe in my opinion. oh did i mention it is in the top three on th dyno! sounds like your gonna be doing alot of different riding so you need a well rounded pipe........ no pun intended

 

You can put the adjustible disks on the Ron Woods pipe , they are also an approved spark arrester.

 

If money is a problem, HMF is THE way to go. I love the sound with it. The only thing I dont like is the power loss with the quietcore/sparky combined, it seems to snuff the pipe too much.

But for the price you can get them one ebay they cant be beat!

I got the yosh rs-3...good bottom and mid pipe but didnt gain anything over my modified stock exhaust on the top...super loud but pulls good.

I just bought the LTE exhaust but it didn't come with any instructions. Does anyone have any kind of pictures that I can take a look at or even some instructions for me. I got a call into the company I bought it from but haven't hear anything back yet. I am at a stand still right now and just can't figure it out.
