Builders Question?

How much stroke can the stock cases take. I have heard 10mil for HPR. Would anything higher require a new case?? Is there any development into aftermarket cases??
I know with the Shees there are aftermarket Matoons.

1Big, I just setup mine and Glens cases for the 10mill and 108mm bore and I must say we are running out of room down there! Although I feel we are going to wind up with a 14mill and 108.5mm bore by 07. Thats 896cc by the way. Me and Glen will have to settle for 855cc for now. The 14mill will require extensive case modification, a taller cylinder, new piston pin location, different rod etc...but it will be cool to own a DS900! These big numbers are cool but an engine like this is for someone who wants to work on their bike alot and race a little. The 730 bolt-on kit is still the ultimate for easy install and power increase. If I wasn't trying to hold records everywhere I would not even be messing with these giant motors because they are a tremendous headache when it comes to all the custom parts. I can build a 730 motor in about 8 hours but one of these big custom motors takes more like 80-100hrs.

Pami contacted me at the first of the summer and said they were working on a 900cc. I haven't hear any details yet. If there is as much power difference between the 760 and 830 as they are between the 830 and 900. Look out!!!!
Eric is right on the motors. Any thing above the 760 is custom parts. It not out of the question to get but if you break something it just takes longer to fix and replace.

Kinda off topic, but are we currently looking at the biggest single cylinder out there? Is there anything out there larger then 850cc motor in a single cylinder for any type of application not just motorcycles or ATV?
