Default I broke a bolt hole on my case

Today when I was riding, I noticed a really strange sound... My chain guard broke off of the bottom bolt, and the top bolt was missing. I looked closer and it snapped some of the case. There are enough threads left that I should be able to get a bolt in, but it was really wierd.

If your chain guard was not tight it may have been rubbing on the chain. If the chain was smacking the gaurd it probably would be enough to crack the bolt holes in the case. That sucks man. If you have enough thread to get the bolts back in I would put some locktite on it, tighten them down, and hope you don't need to take if off very soon. Good luck.

The Wife's Craptor had the chain break and took out some of the bolts. I was able to use some JB Weld and re-build enough material to get a chain guard in there again.

If grease won't stick to the JB Weld, put some on the bolt and build the JB weld around it. Then when it dries you can pull it out and put on your chain guard.
