choosetolose, before i waste my time hitch hiking back there, what kind of times and how fast are we gonna be looking at these bikes to do. like i said i dont know much about racing but what will be the average speed of the top dogs, not my slow butte, but from some of the top few prospects?

 

Some of the top dogs are expected to break into the 3's at the Planet Sand races in Gilbert, La in April. We are still trying to get all the figures together on the tree to determine some times at the Clash. But I can assure you there will be 4-strokes here that can and will be running in the low 4's. We are talking about some 4.1-4.3 range. Trust me. If your not running in the mid 4's down here then your not running in the pack. Its just that simple. Either play hard or eat sand. I not sure about speed as far as mph but, Iknow if your not running a 4.5 in 300ft. it is hard to compete with some those bikes that will be there.
The fun thing about it is if you are like me and are not that fast their is such a variety of bikes you can pretty much find your nitch with other bikes and race all day.

 

Thats true you will find plenty of variety at the clash. Its worth the trip based on what you will see.

I like many others dont have a mid to low 4second bike, but I love making it out to race. Always enough competetion even for us slower guys.

Your brother's rd350 looks like a real hot rod.
I bet it screams with the best of the atv's of any size.

 

It is a very fast quad. Its a 4mil stroke with a big bore. But he has decided to get out of atvs and is parting it out currently on Ebay. Im sure in a few years he will be back.
