I talked to the Bomb rep at the Eastern Sports Show in Harrisburg on tuesday, asking him if EFI was in the DS's future for 2007, he said no but they are having the 450 in competition wit the yfz and 450r, he said there wont be EFI in the DS's becuase they are a Baja racing ATV and Baja race regulations require a carburator, so that sux, anyone know anywhere besides KMS that is doing EFI for the DS's ?

 

I havnt heard of anyone but KMS doing efi for the DS. Wouldnt mind seeing another name do something though, never hurts to have more than one option even though KMS seems to have a great setup.

I think if they could get the price to 1k he would see a LOT more people jumping to efi rather than upgrading their carbs.

Any day now...a BOMB 450 with EFI and who know what other ingenious ideas. I am liking the "FOLLOW NO ONE" slogan more and more. I just have a hard time waiting.
Maybe the EFI could be made to work with the DS by just adding bigger injectors? Its just speculation but I hope your dealer rep is in the know.

Just Asking, but dosent the BMW GS650 have EFI?? close to the same motor??

 

As far as I know its not just close, it is the same motor with a few very minor differences. I would have thought they would have put EFI on the bike for sure though.
