I wanted to know how much you guys spend on a rear stocker for the ds, canadian$
My rear shock recently was leaking bad and found that the end cap(the part were the shaft meets the body) was bent in a wrecked the seal, I had to get a new setup machined with a replacable seal but am not sure if its gunna hold when charged. also it looks like if I happen to bottom out its going to wreck the seal. I see that elka`s are over 1000$ canadian but don`t know about works or tcs
remember im lookin for only the rear in canadian.
Thanks

I have been looking at the marvin shaws myself. There set up for your weight and type of riding for less than half of the cost of an elka. Down side is no adjustments are available. But I hear that there awsome! Check On-Dunes they got-em Im sure Bomber can get you sum!

Send it to Elka they should be able to rebuild it with all their valves and seals for significantly less than a new shock would cost. Works quoted me around $300 for a complete rebuild... Elka should be in that ballpark as well, and they are in Canada so customs issues would not hold up shipping in any way.

I already rebuilt the shock and got a new peice machine for the peice that was bent and itseems to work well so this one works nicely, the guy at cycle works said that they ussually charge them to 400 psi but he charged mine to 380 psi. I just wanted to know how much the cheapest after market rear shock that still performs well, costs.

Cheapest rear shock that I have found that performes well is the Marvin Shaw Coil over $405.00 US. You can revalve your current shock for about $200 at TCS and many other companies. Dual rate Elkas your lookin at about $895, Works is about $789, A new TCS rear with or without sag control is about $750. TCS sport conversion is $345. Do some google search's you might come up with some other options.
