Ok i was trail riding yesterday with a few friends and it started up real fine all day. But i stop to relieve myself of some fluids, and i hop on and nothing. The little green light was on and so were the headlights but when i pushed the starter button absolutely nothing happened. does anybody know what could be causing this? After we pull started it and got it back on the trailers i turned it off, and tried starting it again and it cranked for about .5 seconds and stopped and then when i pushed the button it would be nothing again. somebody please help

 

It almost sounds like the starter button on the bars. I'd check the connection there first. The cases I've heard of that have low battery problems will just crank and not fire. If yours is not cranking at all and you pull started it fine, I would be looking there. I would check your voltage at the starter relay behind the battery.

I would try removing the starter button area off the bars clean em up and put dieelectric grease in there. Try that first. I had a similar problem from a rollover.

 

I spray WD-40 in my handlebar switch after washing and it cured my started button problems.
