I thought I would just ask the forum on who owns a 720 kit and do you have any problems with your kit? I am not looking to here how wonderful the 730 HPR kit is, I am just doing a basic cenus on the 720 kit that is constantly being written that is faulty, and isnt reliable in this forum, I just would like to hear your thoughts 720 owners.
Oh 1 last question, do you have to open up the head for a 720 to 730 kit, and change the Head Studs size?

 

I ran a sleeved 720 for almost 2 years straight (hardcore hillshooting non stop) not 1 problem till I blew too much nos through it and blew the head gasket... Cardiac had great results with his sleeved 720... Bigdaddy said my jug still looked good when he took it apart..



With the new nikisil and all, If the bore is straight and sleeve done right its a great deal for the $$

Actually, I think it would be a 730cc because it was also 105.5mm.

Did you have to have the squish opened in the head to match the bore??

 

Yes, my head was cut to match the dome on the new piston. I love the power, and so far no problems but I've only had it for 4 months.

 

yes, i've never had a problem with mine, well when we first put it together i bought a used race head and it leaked, one new one, and it hasn't been apart since. i probably ran 15- 20 bottles of nitrous thru it at ds days 04, plenty would have seen the problem if there was one. now i saw a broke pami crank that weekend, and turbo problems but no 720 problems. If done right they seem fine.
