$5.00 a gallon for fuel to try to get 4th or 5th in my class. UM YA - I think Ill be a cheerleader for this one.
I bet I would look pretty good in a cheerleader outfit and some pom poms. If they make an outfit my size[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I thought I would mention that I got my answer from the fokes running the event about the class rules.
Not having ever been to an event at this place, I do not really know that much about how they work, but it sounds like it would still be a fun event to attend especialy for me being only a few hours away. I however would not have ever made my LA trip last months to chooses event if this was how it was going to be conducted. This sounds like just a regular weekend at the dunes grudge racing with who ever is there. Choose you need to educate these fokes on what a drag race event is. Even if they could not afford trophies, ribons are cheap. I really don't care about money but I think there should be somthing the winners of each class should get to take home to prove they won.
This is the response I got from our guy who runs the drags....
"I think we should just have stock utility classes, maybe if enough show
up we could run some together, but they always end up running aganst
each other in the end anyway. Just like the other classes we have no way
of knowing what mods everybody is running until they blow everything
else in their class away. We have the same problem with the 400 class
with these guys running big bore and stroker kits with the stock 400,s.
This is why we should never charge for the drags and or give any kind of
trophys out. I would suggest that he run his mod 800cc against the 500
and up sport quads, or outlaw 4-stroke."
We never have done any trophies or cash, I we don't plan to. Does this answer your questions?
