Help me quiet down my DS 650!

Dusty conditions could be accomodated, but muddy... no way. I'm sorry I even suggested it. Like I said I only ride dunes and it can be managed easily there. If you get your filter wet and muddy you could do serious damage to your motor.

You should have a look at the HMF quiet core. Thats my only other suggestion. I'll shut up now so I don't give you any more bad advise. Seems that my first few suggestions could have given you some problems... sorry... insert foot in mouth now.

since you ride in wet and sometimes muddy conditions, you want to steer clear of any ceramic coated pipes. get only stainless steel pipes with aluminum mufflers or eventually it will look like crap. I have had many pipes, and will never steer away from stainless again. ceramic coated stainless is great, but nobody makes any for some silly reason. I had my stock header coated, but all the ceramic coated pipes out there offered are plain steel underneath.
of all the pipes I had the HMF is the most rugged constructed, and the performance is top notch too. and since they now have a quiet version with only a small power sacrifice, I think it would be at the top of my choices.

You might also want to look at the On Dunes Performance Disc system end cap. Its an end cap for the stock exhaust but its tuneable for sound and power..plus being a disc type cap, spark arrested as well!
