Default Outlander 800 DEEP water performance

Ok I just got my quad last week and was digging into it last night to see where all the air intakes are ect. The air for the airbox looks good and hi but the venting for the belt and engine breather arnt hi enough I dont think. Has anyone ever gotten a wet belt?? I removed the cover to find that one of the bolts if removed will allow water to drain....so put a 8mm wrench in your tool kits. Where we ride its not uncommon to cross creeks up to the seat ect as the spring runoff is usually pretty deep. Any input would be great...thanks guys

I have a couple ideas and will let you know what the outcome is.

Nice....looks fairly deep but I'm more concerned about water holes....Some of the creeks we cross can get pretty darn deep.

Anyone burnt a belt on a 800?? Wondering if I should keep a spare on hand or just go with it?? Like when this quad gets bogged down and you try and spin will the belt burn??

if you look at the last few pics, you will see i am really spinning and slinging mud and there was no slippage, she just kept on moving forward(slow) and creeped out..i didnt notice anything..i wouldnt worry about it untill it happened...although i was with a grizzly who had to stop and drain from slippage that day...

I purchased my 800 in october of 05, put 10 miles on it and took it up to Hurley, Wisconsin. There is serious mud holes up nort der. The only time I have had water issues with belt slipping is when I have it in a creek for a few minutes underwater(like traveling down a river or creek for 5-10 minutes. If I feel it slip I angle it on the bank as if to try to climb out and rev it a little in nuetral for about 30 seconds and that seems to clear it out.
