What do you have for insurance on your DS?
I am currently in a dilemna here because we are currently switching our insurance policy. We were with farmers for about 8 years and made our FIRST claim for a car accident my sister got in (not her fault) and they were absolutely horrible... Farmers didnt actually insure my 03ds but a secondary company did for about 100 a year (cheap as hell!)
We are now looking at a new company (dont remember the name) but it is saving us 1400/yr on house/cars BUT on the new quad so far they want 750 a year! that is just on an 01- so far that dosnt cover ANY of the extra items on the 01 730. I am definitely wanting to insure this 730 a lot because if something happens to it they are going to otherwise say heres 2k for what a stock 2001 is worth and that wont buy me squat. The 730 has over 8k in the motor plus the suspension and a huge list of other items... I have receipts for the motor work and the shocks which come out to be about 10k so I figured if I can at least get that much covered on top of the actual value of the machine (figure they would only give me a couple grand or less) - then I will be set if something does happen to it -God forbid! I am not really sure what we are going to do as of right now as I have no idea how much more they are going to want to insure it for another 10k for the stuff that is on it - or at a minimum at least about a grand more than I paid for it so if something did happen I would have 7k or so to be spending.
My question is- how many of you have your quads insured and if you dont mind sharing, how much are you paying for what coverage with which company? We did look into progressive and just for the stock 01 (with nothing else covered but a base machine) they wanted about 1k! looks like quad insurance is going through the roof seeing as how my 03baja was 100 a year (and we are trying to see if that company will insure just my quad but I dont know if that will work out)
Any help is greatly appreciated!

What do you have for insurance on your DS?
I just moved back to Vegas and had my wife insure my DS with state farm for $177 a year that translates to $14.75 a month. They asked if it was a Baja X.......so they obviously know what they are insuring! I can go on vacation and not worry about my quad being stolen. As long as its insured, I can sleep.

I used to have it on Progressive, insured for $8K just the bike covered for $200 a year
Now I am with Alstate, full coverage comp and collision and liability and medical the whole works just like my auto insurance, $400 a year with $300,000 limit of liability and property damge. with all the traveling I do and all the potential for collisions at crowded riding parks, its worth it to me. and they let me specify $8K worth of coverage on the bike itself in the event of theft or fire or total wreck off a cliff.
my house and autos are with Allstate also, and I'm 33 years old - it all plays a roll in price.
