depends on what you want to ride. I take groups on our "River Ride" and most really enjoy it. It's a bit rough on some people that don't realize that we live in the desert. In a months time our weather will have changed and heat will be come a factor. Best to ride in the morning about 8am and get back at or before noon. The River Ride gives you a bit of everything. Rocks, Wash Sand, Whoops, Water, Pole line roads, Rock climbing.... Very cool ride. Only about 42 miles round trip (which is about all you'll have enough fuel for) and most are fairly tired when there done. You can ride as fast as you want, or as slow as you want.
When it gets closer, let me know... I'm sure I can arrange something. If you want jumps and track style riding, I can get you to that as well. All of this leaves from my garage..... I'm pretty lucky.

Don't be fooled by "legal" spots. And no offense Byrd, but Apex SUCKS!!!!! Born and raised in vegas and have ridden where most don't even know exist. The ONLY time people give you a hard time in vegas is if you are doing something you shouldn't. Definitely not trying to pick a fight but there are TONS of riding spots in vegas/henderson. I think that the Arm Pit (Armagosa) will be too hot a month from now. Guess well have to see.

I sure miss the old school Pabco road (hollywood rd)
When carey Harts track was out there and there were deep whoops for miles was the greatest IMO. Now theres houses where the old horse track was. I used to be able to go ride and shoot the sks rifle anywhere out there. Now the water treatment plant has a bunch of wanta bee security guards that try to creep on ya. It not even worth going out there anymore.
Whats wrong Mike, You dont like hillshooting and Nellis dunes?

Nellis Dune.... no such thing as far as I'm concerned. The area is over-ridden, poluted beyond belief by morons and the terrain is between paddles and knobbies. I really hate that place. I think there is way too much good riding to do before you have to go out there..
Yea, lot's by me to ride and leaving from the garage is very nice.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Mike your making me want to pack up and leave tomorrow to live in Nevada. I'm planning a trip later this year Prob November but I really want to ship my DS out there. Them 400s we rented were absolute dogs out there in that soft stuff you guys have lots to play in called... SAND.
We buy our desktop printers inks from a company in Nevada and most of the people there are from NY. I have spoken to them about the transition and all have told me that they would never come back to this area (Females that don't ride quads).
The Armpit isn't so bad (Amargosa) .. then again Bigdaddy has probably seen better places. There is lots of sand there and tho not at large as Dumont you have plenty of places to point and shoot your quad. Be sure to bring a back pack with water. I went during a cool time and you work up a thirst rather quickly.
You guys are lucky to have that kind of terrain accessible. Last good hard riding for me was last Nov in Nevada.

You're right, if I didn't have any choices, Armpit (Armagosa) would probably be the cat's meow. I don't like the sand, don't like the transitions and hate the camping. Then again, why would I got to Armpit when for me, Dumont is closer. I hope to be taking a trip to Sand Hollow Utah in the next couple of weeks. I'll report back the findings.
Anytime Entomber, just give me a call when you're coming.
