I bought one off of ebay and it was cheap but it cost me 2 batteries and a rectifier and luckily nothing else. I was told I was lucky that was all that happened, I now have a Vortex on its way.

I would definitely do a search here first. Allot of guys have had problems with the procom, (expensive problems). Don't buy one without doing a search first. just my .02¢ =]

No problems with the procom CDI runs fine only diffence over stock is about extra 1000 rpm cant tell if it advance the timing like the others do, had troubles with there rectifier, they replaced it no hassles but I needed a 400 watt rectifier for my lighting.

Hi Guys,
I may get some flack for this but since I got the newest (build so to speak) from Procom ... I have not has a single problem. They did indicate that it had newer programming module in it preventing the problems they had in the past.
So far so good...
So I am pretty happy with it.

Im glad to see that Procom CDIs are improving. It may be difficult for some to feel good about Procom after several years of sending out CDIs that people didnt want. It would have been a better deal if they had been more responsive, a bit quicker - especially since its mearly a programming issue. But nontheless, I applaud thier improvements.
