Sand tire options?
BlackHawk-Thanks for the suggestion.I am interested in something different especially if i can make some real gains on the hill.My main concern is the weight of my 9 paddle extremes because with wheels they weigh about 16 lbs each and i am pretty sure that i could reduce that by a large margin with the right tire.I will check out the STU website.

Sand tire options?
Glenn. Is that weight with the wheel? If that is with a wheel that would be a big weight savings.I am going to do all the small things that i can to squeeze that little bit more out of this set up and tires will be my first change. The Extremes seem to do pretty good but 16 lbs with a wheel has got to be slowing me down some.Lets see how do i explain to the wife that the new Extremes and wheels that i just bought are not excatly what i need?I know, i need a spare set yeah thats it.LOL.

I haven't weighed my tires, but all comp cut STU tires weigh similar - my tire / rim combo is light enough I can hold it up with one finger.
You might call Joe @ Fullerton Sand Sport for the STUs, and of course Glenn's Skat Traks sound nice as well. The STUs get noticed more than the Skats though.
