there is a manual adjusting nut on the right side of the axle it's the large clamping nut you turn with your hand. Just loosen the nut and take the slop out of the bearings by tightening it, I like to put the rear end on blocks while I'm adjusting it to make sure that I still have good free play in the bearing and that the axle spins feely with outthe slop. Riding with the bearing too loose will damage them, might be a good idea to pull the axle out and inspect and greese them if you feel you can't get them adjusted right.

the bolt may have gotten loose & during the time it was you may have worn the broze bearing carriers whitch hold the side play. if you replace those you should also replace the bearings. the whole set of bearings &bushings cost $ 90.00 from the dealer.
