Going from 2.3 to 2.15 would be fine.
The ratio is not one to one, but you should end up around .005 clearance.
Since you have no clearance, ask the dealer if you can buy a set of 2.10 also, and you will return what you do not use.
Better to buy extra's right away.
Also, buy the shims at a BMW dealer or a Yamaha dealer, they charge only $4.00,
the DS dealers want $10. Just ask for 29mm shims.

Maxbomber,
Is your head the original 2000? Have you ever changed the springs?
If original, change the springs and new oil seals. If you want alittle free horsepower, take your valves to a automotive machine shop and have the valves undercut.
The intakes are pretty good, but the exhaust are terrible, try to cleanup the exhaust.

DragonDJ11,

You got it, a shim is a shim. Local dealer sell both yamaha and bombs. He always sells me the yamaha shims, he feels guilty charging $10. BMW sells a f650 bike that uses the same motor as a DS.
