If it's a motor that is pretty much factor fresh, the seat cold have been installed a little deep. Definitely make it right according to spec, and move on. Check it after a ride or two.... my guess is that you'll be fine. Did you put cams in or something? If you did, and are not just checking gaps, then there might be a problem. Take the cams out and make DOUBLE SURE there is nothing holding in the cam journal. I had a set of cams one that could not, for the life of me, get in right. Wouldn't turn with the tray locked down, had no clearance etc. etc. after about 4 take-outs and re-installs, I found a small piece of flashing on the journal. Made me mad, but I was glad I found it..... Everything went in like a champ after.
Somethng to check anyway....
Good luck

I just did my valves too......If your looking at it standing at the rear looking at the front of the bike. I noticed that the exhaust right side was wore. .006 fit but a .007 didn't. The other exhaust looked good and the right intake looked good too, but the left intake was tight, .003 fit but a .004 didn't. Does that sound about right??
